Working with CPEs
The CPE is the subscriber's equipment (the fiber ONU/ONT). The CPEs area is where you'll spend most of your day: finding a customer, checking equipment status, activating a new installation, and troubleshooting.

- Awaiting activation — the ONU was detected (via the OLT) but hasn't been authorized to operate yet. This is the state of a newly installed device. See Activating a CPE.
- Activated / in operation — from there, the CPE takes on one of the operational states (Online, Offline, LOS, No power). The meaning of each is explained in CPE States.

CPE origin: with ACS or OLT-only
An important detail that changes what you see on the device:
- CPE with ACS (TR-069): Cpehub talks directly to the device. You can view and change WiFi, WAN, LAN, connected devices, run diagnostics, etc.
- CPE via OLT only (no ACS): Cpehub knows the device through the OLT but has no TR-069 session. You see optical and OLT data, but the tabs that depend on TR-069 (WiFi, WAN, Devices…) stay empty.
The system Dashboard shows this split in the "CPE Report by Origin" chart (OLT without ACS × OLT + ACS).
