At Cpehub, we are always looking for innovations and improvements to make life easier for our customers and internet providers. We are excited to present the November 2025 updates, which mark the start of a major layout modernization and the implementation of an SNMP Traps system.

Below are the notes about the improvements implemented:

[New] SNMP Traps System​

Implemented a complete system for receiving and processing SNMP Traps sent by OLTs:

  • Real-Time Traps: Receiving OLT notifications (traps) in real time
  • Multiple OIDs Supported: The system processes multiple types of events (ONU online, offline, alarms, etc.)
  • Customizable SNMP Password: Each OLT can have its own SNMP password for traps
  • Job-Based Processing: Traps are processed via jobs, not in real time, ensuring performance
  • Automatic Cleanup: An automatic job periodically removes old traps
  • Viewing Interface: New screen to view the history of received traps
  • Status on the OLT: The OLT sidebar shows the trap-receiving status
  • SNMP Configuration: The settings page allows defining the SNMP trap password

This feature allows Cpehub to be notified instantly about events on the OLTs, without needing to constantly poll them.

[New] Migration to the New Layout​

Start of a major technical modernization project, migrating the system to the New Layout:

  • Audits

Migration benefits:

  • Faster, smoother interface
  • Better user experience
  • Fewer page reloads
  • Superior performance

[New] Real-Time Events​

The events system was redesigned for real-time updates via WebSockets:

  • Jobs: Job status updates automatically on screen
  • Events: New events appear automatically
  • OLTs: Changes to OLTs are reflected instantly
  • CPEs: CPE updates appear in real time

It is no longer necessary to reload the page to see updates.

[New] Model Observers​

Implemented observers that automatically trigger events when there are changes to:

  • OLTs
  • CPEs
  • Jobs
  • OLT relations (Frames, Slots, PONs, etc.)

This allows multiple users to see the same updates simultaneously.

[New] Dedicated Channels for Jobs​

Each OLT now has a dedicated WebSocket channel for monitoring jobs:

  • Better performance
  • Less network traffic
  • Faster updates

[New] Running Jobs Counter​

The interface shows the number of jobs running for OLTs and CPEs, making it possible to know if there are pending operations.

[New] New Jobs Interface​

The jobs screen was completely redesigned with:

  • Log search
  • Better error visualization
  • More intuitive interface
  • Execution time in milliseconds

[New] Improved Mobile Interface​

The login screen and other parts of the system received improvements for mobile devices.

[Improvement] Huawei Traps System​

Added support for more types of traps from Huawei OLTs, including events specific to this manufacturer.

[Improvement] Queue Management​

  • Multiple Processes: Better distribution of jobs across worker processes
  • Separate OLT Queue: OLTgetAllPonSignal now runs in a queue specific to the OLT
  • Job Retries: Adjustment to the number of job execution retries
  • Failure Detection: Better detection of failed jobs
  • Re-execution: Improvements to the system for re-running failed jobs

[Improvement] Performance​

  • Log Cleanup: Old jobs and backups are automatically removed
  • Orphaned Jobs: Better handling of orphaned jobs (without a relationship)
  • Health Check: Better system health verification

[Improvement] Notifications​

  • Notification Activation: Users need to enable notifications to receive them
  • Backup Notification: Notification when an OLT backup fails
  • Delete All: Option to delete all notifications at once
  • Better Confirmation: Improved interface to confirm notification deletion

[Improvement] Automatic AutoReboot​

New component to configure automatic restart of CPEs with issues.

[Fix] Huawei Synchronization​

Fixed an issue with CPE duplication during synchronization on Huawei OLTs.

[Fix] ZTE CPE Sync​

Significant improvements to the CPE synchronization logic on ZTE OLTs.

[Fix] Pagination​

Fixes to pagination components.

[Fix] Miscellaneous​

  • Fixed the auto-reboot tag
  • Fixed an issue with the getCpes variable

[Improvement] Driver Updates​

Model drivers progressively updated with various improvements and fixes.

Our purpose is to improve the system on an ongoing basis, listening to our provider customers and delivering more and more features and improvements.
